Mr. Hubbard has experience in engaging and communicating with all stakeholders, including community, USEPA, environmental and industry interests, and the related to cleanup and redevelopment of brownfield properties. Since joining Vita Nuova, he has built an impressive background in real estate and market analysis, conducting site selection activities for a major industrial client.
Prior to joining the VN team, Mr. Hubbard was a leader in brownfields and superfund cleanup and redevelopment for the Kentucky Department of Environmental Protection. As Deputy Division Director for Waste Management, overseeing over 230 environmental professionals in the Division’s regulatory and corrective action programs, including RCRA, UST, and Superfund.
Mr. Hubbard played a key role in the review and approval of several large Phoenix award-winning brownfield projects in Kentucky, and was part of the workgroup responsible for development of the Commonwealth’s Brownfield Redevelopment Program. The program has been very successful since its inception, resulting in the redevelopment and reuse of hundreds of brownfield properties across the Commonwealth, revitalizing many communities by reimagining the use of formerly blighted properties and bringing jobs and increased tax revenue.
Mr. Hubbard is also a licensed real estate agent who utilizes his knowledge of current real estate sales and market conditions to develop best end use strategies for brownfield properties and help overcome environmental challenges which may affect their redevelopment.
