Abbie Emison has an extensive background in urban and economic development planning, specifically focusing on brownfield redevelopment and manufacturing revitalization. She is the VN expert utilizing the IMCP Playbook.

Ms. Emison has worked with a variety of public, non-profit and private entities to facilitate the redevelopment of contaminated properties. She has administered numerous state and federal brownfield assessment and revolving loan fund grants and provided guidance to other grant recipients. In addition, she has managed brownfield real estate transactions and developed numerous strategic economic development and reuse plans for various municipalities.

Ms. Emison serves as an economic analyst, deploying a variety of quantitative tools to guide redevelopment of former manufacturing and industrial sites across the country. Ms. Emison has a Bachelor’s in Economics and Political Science from Wellesley College and a Master’s in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. While at MIT, Ms. Emison received the American Institute of Certified Planners Student Project Award for the application of the planning process.
