The City of Stamford is one of the founding members of www.climatecommunities.us. According to Mike Freimuth, Director of Economic Development for Stamford, Climate Communities is a coalition of about 50 cities/counties nationwide that have formed to argue for local involvement in fighting global warming and gaining access to federal 'cap and trade' credits to be used to adapt to change.
